October 3, 2014 - Photo Of The Day

Hello all! How is everyone?

I am always thinking about ways to tweak my little blog here and today I came up with something new. Well sort of. On Fridays as part of my Photo Of The Day series I will be posting a "vintage" photo. Vintage meaning something from my archives. Some weeks it will be something a few years old and others it may be several years old. The one thing that will remain the same every time is that they were all shot by me. Just possibly a "younger" me. I think this could be a lot of fun. Especially some of my older work when I used film exclusively. Boy it was way different back then. I can never say enough how frugal I had to be in how many frames I shot since every one essentially cost me money. There is no way I could have gone out and shot 200 or more pictures just to get those few good ones. I am glad however for those days because it makes me truly appreciate the digital technology we have today.

So for today I would like to share one of my personal favorites. This was only done about a year and a half ago so we aren't exactly going for vintage here but here we go anyway.

This is the Atlantic City Boardwalk with a few of it's casinos shot from the beach. It may only be a little over a year old but two of those casinos are gone now. But that is a subject for another day and another blog. I am just pleased with how this came out. It is actually two images combined in Photoshop. What do you think?

I thank you all for taking time to stop by and check out my photography and read my blog posts. This is a work in progress and I am always open to suggestions. If you have anything you would like to share you can use the comments section or you can send me a private message using the contact section in the sidebar. You can also check out the blog's Facebook Group here.

Until next time...
