Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends. It's Thursday again and that means it's time for a Thursday Smidge picture. I try to post one each week though once in a while she doesn't cooperate. And I wouldn't say she cooperated today, I just grabbed this shot when she was taking a sip of water.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends. I had to run a quick errand after work today but on my way I made a pit stop. The park was along my drive and there was still some sunlight so I figured I'd take a few snapshots with my phone. And now for today's view I am sharing some of them with you.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

With little time in the evening to shoot I sometimes have a bit of a time finding something to post. So for today's view I am going back a week or so and sharing this sunset. At least I have plenty of RAW files to work with.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

I was going about my usual Cafe routine this morning which basically consists of filling the feeders and tossing some scraps into the compost bin when I looked up and saw today's view. The Moon amongst the clouds really stood out to me and I did my best to capture it before the sky cleared. And now I would like to share it with you.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today we take a quick look at a leaf from my trip to Pawlings Farm yesterday. Specifically from the 300 Year old sycamore. Unlike my previous post this image was created from a RAW file. It was still shot with my Canon  G9X set to AUTO though.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Though the weather was cool today I took a drive to Pawling Farm, part of valley Forge National Park. There are very popular trails there and always lots of people walking dogs. The farm is also home to the attraction I go there to see. The 300 year old (estimated) sycamore off of one of the walking trails. 300 years is pretty old for a tree along the east coast where European settlers first landed. Plus the tree is near the encampment of Washington's troops during the Revolution. It's for that reason it's often called the Witness Tree. I also heard it referred to as the George Washington tree. So for today's view I would like to share some photos from the park. Snapshots actually. These were all made with my Canon G9X compact camera set to AUTO. The only thing I did was convert each picture to a PNG. I do this because for some reason websites such as Facebook don't seem to alter them like they do JPEGS.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends. Today's view is a wrap up of this weeks Cafe photos. Hopefully I'll get out this weekend for some new stuff. But the cafe always seems to have a lot to offer.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends and Happy Thanksgiving to those here in America.Today's view is a quick shot of the Earth's closet neighbor, the Moon. I shot this with my Canon SX70 and actually used AUTO mode just to see how it would turn out. I did do some color and other minor adjustments in Photoshop but overall I think the camera did as good job. What do you think?

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends. How's the weather where you are? It's pouring here. It was supposed to start raining around 3 but I guess Mother Nature didn't get the memo because it started around noon. But though it's raining  now the morning was pretty clear. And I was able to take advantage of it and grab a lot of good shots at the Cafe. We had cardinals, blue jays and even a woodpecker and a few others in between. And of course we had squirrels. So for today's view I would like to share these.

Monday View - 20 November 2023 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

For today's view I would like to share a few random shots from this past weekend.

This first one is kind of an action shot of one of the Cafe squirrels about to push off of the oak tree with an acorn in her mouth.

I'm including these next three because they are kind of rare in November. The dandelion seeds look unusual amongst fallen leaves. The daisies though are doing way better than I would have ever thought. We have had some pretty cold nights but they just stand strong. They belong to a neighbor who let me photograph them.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!
