Hi my friends and welcome to the Daily View. Wow! This weekend sure went fast didn't it? In fact this entire Summer seems to be flying by. But we are trying to make the most of it and do and see as much as we can. Today was no exception either. The morning started out slow and I had time to shoot quite a few shots at the cafe. And I would like to share this one with you. A hungry sparrow enjoying an early morning meal.
He was nice enough to take time and pose for me. A little later in the day I was able to get a little cleaning done and even had time to do a bit of pruning in our back yard. And then it was off to New Hope, Pennsylvania to a restaurant called The Cock N' Bull with family and friends to celebrate my Sister Elaine's birthday. It was our first time there but I sure hope it isn't the last. It was quite a nice meal and the service was excellent. After eating we strolled through Peddler's Village to enjoy the scenery. There is a really cool water wheel and I was able to shoot a quick video. Take a look.

Hi all. So going through the shots I made the other day in New Hope I decided that there is at least one more I'd like to share. There is a lot of beautiful scenery in New Hope and the waterfront is no exception. So that is what I have for you today. Please take a look.
This is composed of two images that I merged in Photoshop. It was quite cloudy that day and I would like to re-shoot this with a little sunshine. Perhaps at least a little blue sky. I should really use a tripod too. But I think it came out okay. What do you think?

Anyone who knows me knows that I like to photograph all things nature. Among my favorite subjects is landscapes, flowers and of course wild animals and birds. I also love the ocean. I love visiting and just being at the shore. I am very fortunate to live so close to the New Jersey beaches. When at the shore I inevitably photograph seagulls. It's almost obligatory. But who says one has to be at the beach to photograph them? And that brings us to today's photo of the day. During our visit to New Hope the other day we, as usual, went down to the water and fed the birds. And there sure is a wide variety of birds to see there. There are ducks, swans pigeons and also one of my favorites seagulls.
This is just a few that were there. They were all over the place! And by the looks of them I would say they eat well. And that's what I've got for you today folks. Hi there and welcome to December. One day closer the Spring! Today I am sharing another photo from New Hope yesterday. There are many historical buildings in New Hope and the one in today's post is no exception. This is the Bucks County Playhouse.
The Bucks County Playhouse opened on July 1, 1939. The building was previously the New Hope Mills from the 1790's to the 1930's and before that it was known as the Grist Mills. The town of new Hope is said to have been named after the New Hope Mills.
Since it's opening the Bucks County Playhouse has hosted many famous actors including Dick Van Dyke, Grace Kelly and Walter Matthau to name just a few. Welcome to the last day of November. Has the year gone by fast or what? It's cold outside now but before we know it the summer heat will be upon us again. And as the days get shorter and shorter just remember that in less than a month they will start to get longer again. Today was quite nice. The temperatures here were in the 40's and the wind was calm. Kim and I drove home from Princeton, New Jersey and stopped in New Hope, Pennsylvania along the way. We really like it there but don't seem to get there much. Today was a great opportunity though and we took advantage. Of course I shot a lot of photos. And today I am sharing one with you. Located at 10 W Ferry Street this is the Logan Inn.
The Logan Inn was built in 1722 and opened in 1727 as the Ferry Tavern. The name was changed to the Logan Inn in 1828 in honor of Chief Logan of the Lenni-Lenape tribe.
Over the course of almost 300 years there have been many paranormal claims at the Inn. I am including links here, here and here if you would like to read up on them. And if you search Google you can find all kinds of stories about this famous Inn. One day Kim and I will have to stay there for a night. Just not in room 6. Read up on it and you'll see why :) I have many more photos to share and will over the next couple of days. But I am wrapping this up for today. It's been a very busy and very enjoyable weekend.
