Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

As Summer comes closer to ending the days are getting shorter and the Sun is setting earlier. And it's also rising later in the morning. In fact when I left for work today it wasn't even light out yet. Seeing as I was running about 5 minutes earlier than usual I took this opportunity to pull over at the park up the street and snap some pre-dawn pictures. And for today's view I would like to share this one with you.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Today's view is another shot from yesterday at the beach. It may have been cloudy and rainy but I took advantage of one of the dry spots.

How would you like to see a nice sunny picture from the beach? Well sorry but not today. Today is a rather rainy one. But kim and I did manage to find a short break in the rain to visit the beach at Stone Harbor for a short time. Sure wasn't crowded I can tell you. Just the way I like it. And cloudy photos at the beach are always better than plain blue sunny photos. In my opinion at least. So for today's view I would like to share this shot with you.

Today I am sharing a few more pictures from the zoo. Here's a few more shots that I thought came out pretty good. By the way, all of my zoo pictures were shot with my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Continuing with our Saturday trip to the zoo I thought maybe I'd share a photo of an actual animal on exhibit. So for today's view here is a couple giraffes. The Cape May County Zoo has an awesome environment for their giraffes and zebras. You really need to see it if you are in town.

Today I am sharing another photo from yesterday's trip to the zoo. And just like yesterday's post this is also an animal that is not a zoo exhibit. But it is a familiar subject. And of course it's a squirrel. The zoo sets up feeders for deer but once the word got out all kinds of wildlife seem to frequent them.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

It's been just over a week since my knee surgery and I really am getting around a lot better. There's still a bit of swelling but things are getting closer to normal. Today for the first time this season Kim and I went to the Cape May County Zoo. I'm trying to do things that I haven't been able to and I figured since the zoo is just down the road it would be a good place to start. If was crowded but still a nice visit. And I got lots of pictures. But the picture I am sharing today is not of an exhibit. Along one of the Zoo paths is a gazebo like structure. It's pretty tall. Well on the ground under the gazebo I noticed bird droppings. A lot of bird droppings. So I looked up and saw a nest way up at the top. A very safe place for the birds actually because it's well shielded from the weather and visitors. Besides it's in a zoo.  So for today's photo I would like to share what I saw with you.

I was thinking about what I was going to share for today's view this afternoon because I still haven't gotten out to shoot. Though I do hope to real soon as my knee heals. And as I was thinking about it Smidge jumped up on the couch to say hi. So now she is today's view.

Today's view is this squirrel that I saw after work today. He was hiding in the wheel well of a neighbor's car. Not the safest place to be but he did run away after a minute or so.

Today's view is a single wildflower from our backyard. There seems to be a lot of green in the wildflower garden but not a lot of flowers at the moment, but this is one of the few. I hope we get some more blooms soon.

Today I'm going back into the archives to about 10 years ago at Valley Forge. It's been a while since I have been there to shoot a sunrise and coming across this picture makes me want to go again soon. This is one of my all time favorites. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Today's view is a simple flower in our front yard. It's a day lily that we bought at a local yard sale three years ago when we moved into this house. Hopefully as I heal I'll be able to get out and about to shoot but for right now the only out and about is our yard.

Hi there my friends. Well I had my knee surgery today and was told that it went very well. I am still in a good amount of pain and have a lot of swelling but that is too be expected. Obviously we are not at the camper this weekend but the Friday Schnitzel picture must go on. So here you go, before my next dose of pain meds kick in.

Throwback Thursday View - 13 August 2020 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today we take a look back three years to August 13, 2017 at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown Pennsylvania. And there we see one of my favorite subjects, a Bald Eagle. Elmwood has such a nice Bald Eagle exhibit rivaling many larger zoos. You really should check it out if you happen to be in the area. Please Click Here to see my original post.

After some thunder, lightning and rain showers this afternoon things cooled off nicely around here. The humidity dropped and it has been all around more comfortable. Even the squirrels were enjoying the break in the heat. Here for today's view we see one of them resting in one of our dogwoods.

For today's view I would like to share a Schnitzel picture. I haven't shot a lot lately and Schnitzel is the perfect subject anyway. And if all goes well over the next week or so I'll be more mobile and be able to get out and about more with my camera. I just have to get through knee surgery.

Friday View - 7 August 2020 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

It's time again for a Friday Schnitzel picture so let's get right to it. Once again we see Schnitzel at the camper as he relaxes before dinner. And as an aside it is raining and thundering. But Schnitzel is not phased at all. Storms don't seem to bother him.

I also have some sad news. Today we had to say goodbye to Bandit, our awesome black and white cat of 16 years. He was such a good boy and such a unique cat. So in memoriam I would like to share a picture of him doing one of his favorite things. Sitting in a bag.

Today instead of a throwback photo I would like to share one more shot from earlier in the week. This again was made the same day as the birds and yesterday's picture. This is one of the sunflowers that I started and gave to my neighbor. I'm sure glad I did too because the ones I planted in our yard didn't take off. So at least I can still enjoy them.

Today I would like to share another bird from yesterday at the Cafe. This time a Bluejay who also happens to be eating a peanut. I guess they were bulking up for the storm that was about to hit. And man what a storm it was. We had about 7 inches of water in about 10 hours. But now it's dry and we get to clean uo after it. But anyway here is today's view.
