Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

While we didn't actually go out and sit on the beach this weekend Kim and I did go into Avalon to have a look. As you can see it wasn't packed but for the end of September there was a good amount of people.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

While Kim and I were out and about today down here at the shore we came across this apparently abandoned train. It sits at the end of an obviously unused rail line that is overgrown with grass and weeds. I'm sure someone owns it so I didn't attempt to board it but I could have.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Like most Fridays Kim and I are at our camper at the shore. For today's view I am sharing a snapshot from last Saturdays visit to the beach in Avalon. I shot this while kicking back in my beach chair. I haven't done many cloud photos recently but I'm pretty happy with this one.

Today's throwback takes us to September 27, 2014 and to the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. I have driven past the signs many times over the years and this time Kim and I decided to check it out. Be sure to Click Here to see my original post.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today I am continuing to clear out the photos on my phone with another snapshot+. Basically a snapshot that has been lightly processed before posting. Like yesterday's photo I shot this on Sunday morning right before we left for home. This mushroom was (and still is) growing inside of our screen house. I hope it's still there this weekend because I would like to get shots of it with my DSLR. For now though I think this came out pretty good.

Today I am sharing another snapshot+ from our weekend at the campground at the shore. Actually I shot this as we were leaving for home on Sunday afternoon. I guess if nothing else the rain we had made for a good photo.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

We have gotten a lot of rain lately. Both here at home and at the shore. But there have been some moments in-between that have been at least a little dry and Saturday was one of them. We were able to enjoy the beach and were even able to relax by a campfire in the evening. And with the weather growing colder that is a good thing. Today's view is one of the many shots I made of Saturday's campfire. I love shooting them because no two will ever be the same. It is complete randomness. Enjoy.

I shot this with my Samsung Galaxy S9+ and did some minor touch ups in Photoshop. I guess it's a snapshot+.

Kim and I decided to make a pit stop at the grocery store on our drive home from the shore today. Kim stayed outside with this guy and I ran in to grab a few things. He doesn't mind the ride but I think he just wanted to be home. I guess it's good that we were only 10 minutes away.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today was a perfect day to visit the beach down here at the Jersey Shore. Kim and I spent a good part of our day in Avalon enjoying the sun and water. But we especially enjoyed that the beach wasn't crowded. Yes the was a good number of people there but nothing like the Summer months. I hope you enjoy this view as much as we did.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Well it's Friday my friends and although the Summer season has all but ended we are still heading down to our camper in Cape May County. And we'll be heading to the shore until at least the end of October. For today's mobile update I'm sharing this snapshot from our drive down this evening. We hit the bridge the same time we always do except now it gets dark a lot earlier than during the peak of Summer.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Throwback Thursday View - 20 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's throwback takes us to Pawling's Farm at Valley Forge on September 21, 2014. Pawling's Farm is home to a few interesting old buildings but the one that sticks out the most is the barn. It's big. Very big. In fact I think it served as more than a barn and perhaps was used as a workshop or even small factory of sorts. Whatever it was used for I think this scene is pretty cool. And it even sheds some light on the age of the building too. Remember to Click Here to see my original post.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

I am finally feeling quite a bit better and for the first time in many days I am able to sit myself down at my computer and work up a proper photo for you today. Don't get me wrong I think the snapshots are great and even important. Snapshots record life and experiences and are vital but I love the art side of it as well. So for today's view I share this awesome female cardinal with you. she frequents this particular feeder so I always make sure it's filled so she sticks around. Female cardinals bring baby cardinals. The more the merrier!

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Well I cautiously say I'm feeling a little better. Not 100% but almost there. Today was all about a doctor visit and a lot of rest, so though I do have stuff on my camera to share I didn't even look at the computer. So I reached back a bit on my phone and found one more I don't think I have shared before. I shot this during a trip to Smithville Village a month or so ago.

Although we are indeed home I am posting today's photo as a mobile update. It's been a long day my friends. And though it is still Summer I am sharing a little bit of Autumn with you. Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

So what do you do on a rainy day at the shore? Go to the zoo! The Cape May County Zoo is just minutes away from our campsite so we figured what the heck? It's free to visit and probably won't be busy. And we were right. We also knew from prior experience that the animals would be more active than on a dry hot day. Naturally I made lots of snapshots and for today's photo I am sharing this peacock with you.

Monday View - 3 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today on a rare Monday off from work and an even more rare off day at home I was determined to get out and shoot for a bit. As many of you know Kim and I spend most weekends at the shore in the Summer. And as such I haven't had a lot of time to enjoy our local surroundings. Don't get me wrong though, I love the new places we are discovering in Cape May County and will probably miss a few of our regular stops in the Winter months. But as the saying goes "There's no place like home".

Today for only the second time we visited the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. A place that is literally 10 minutes from our house. I have known about the center for quite a while but never really knew all that it offered. And wow! What an awesome place just brimming with nature. With my camera in hand I was like a kid in a candy store. I got so much good material for the blog and will be sharing it over the next several days. Plus as a bonus to an already great day of shooting I set up in our backyard (aka The Garden Cafe) when we got home and got lots there too. It was just one of those "on" days I have every once in a while. So for today's photo I am starting off small and sharing this dragonfly with you. I always liked dragonflies for some reason. I think it's because they look a little scary but are really quite harmless.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

For today's mobile update I share with you this flower. At first glance I thought it was a daisy but was told it is a "cone flower". I was also told that unlike a daisy which is an annual that a cone flower is a perennial so it will return every year. I might have to get one or two for the Garden Cafe.

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!
