Welcome To The Daily View

To make today's photo I had to get down and dirty. Literally. I had to lay down on the ground and it was a bit dirty down there. You can't tell from looking but this little flower is about two inches tall. And we have about a dozen or so scattered along the grass just off of the walkway leading to our front door. Anyone know what they are?

  1. It is a grape hyacinth also known as muscari. I have them all over the yard. They are invasive but pretty. Do not pick them and bring them into the house, though. They do not have a nice smell. Let me leave it at that.

    1. Thanks Kathy! They do seem to be spreading. I like them though :)

  2. The flower is pretty...but the squirrel is cuter. Doesn't take even the young ones long to find the Cafe,
    does it?

    1. Thanks! No it doesn't. And I am glad for the young squirrels because they are a bit tamer and I will probably be able to get closer without them running away.
