I'm going back a few weeks for today's view and am sharing a few phone pictures from a walk along the Schuylkill River. This old building is around the beginning of the trail. I don't really know anything about it besides the fact that the first time I saw it about 30 or so years ago it still had a roof. Maybe someone at the Valley Forge Park Visitor's Center might know. I'll have to stop in and ask sometime.

Well the weather may be just as hot as yesterday but I have a lot to share from the Cafe today. I just didn't want to waste a nice sunny, dry day. Now I didn't have to spend a lot of time in the heat because I was able to set up at different places throughout the day and let the camera snap away. And shooting like this keeps me from spooking the wildlife. The only noise aside from them is the shutter and they have seemed to have gotten used to that. So anyway for today's view I have a nice variety of guests to show you. Here is some of our birds and of course a couple squirrel shots thrown in too.
Oh and I did make it to the zoo today for a quick walk around. Stay tuned for pictures to come.

well it was (and is) a hot one today. And I didn't spend a lot of time outside with the camera. I did the bare necessities such as filling bird feeders and making sure there was plenty of fresh water for our guests. in fact I even had to replace a bird bath that cracked. I had filled it last night and this morning it was dry. And just to test it I filled it and saw water dripping out the bottom. So while I running errands I picked up a new one and it was just in time because as I removed the leaky one the bowl actually broke. Oh, and I might mention that being made of concrete these things are heavy. But it's all fixed now. Anyway for today's view I would like to share a few shots I made early this morning before it got too hot. This is one of our regular squirrels that came looking for breakfast.

The weather was cloudy and drizzly when I got home today but I still managed to spend a little time in the front garden with my camera. We have a park bench that I sat on and quietly waited for the birds to come around. I saw a few Bluejays but they were way too quick for me to get a good shot. Though I did get a few decent pictures of a Catbird and even an okay picture of a Woodpecker. And for today's view I would like to share them with you.

Well I still had a lot of yard work to do today but this time it was in the front yard. That means the rear seating area of the Cafe was certain to see some business. Yesterday for Father's Day Terry treated me to dinner at a nice local restaurant. We had a very good time and it was nice in these busy times to sit down, relax and have some nice casual conversation. Thank you Terry! After dinner we drove a couple towns over to Lansdale for a car show. It's held every year but I've never been to it so it was especially nice for me. So for today's view I am sharing a handful of pictures I shot. There was a lot of really cool cars to see.
Okay, a bit more than a handful but there was a lot of nice cars.
