It may be autumn but there is still some warm weather. Kim and I took advantage of that today and made a trip out to the beach in Avalon New Jersey. I had another picture in mind for today's view but instead I am sharing this squirrel. When I got home today she was literally waiting for me to give her peanuts. She waited while I went inside to get the bag and stood there while I tossed a few out. She then sat at the base of our tree while I shot a bunch of pictures. Normally our squirrels take their peanuts up the tree.

When I mow our backyard I always need to duck when I get near our dogwood tree. And yesterday when I did this I noticed these red berries all over the tree. I don't remember seeing this in the late summer or fall but who knows. No matter though because they make a great photo. And for today's view I would like to share this one with you.

Last Saturday I shared a picture of some acorns I found while we were cleaning our site. They were "conjoined" and were green. After shooting some pictures I left them along with some other acorns and some pine cones for squirrels or whoever wanted to eat them. A reader asked me if squirrels would eat green acorns and honestly I did not know. I still don't know for sure but I do know something or someone does. Because when we got here this weekend this is what I found.

It seems like the days and weeks are going faster and faster. Or is it just me? Wasn't it just yesterday that I posted a Friday Schnitzel picture? Well it's Friday again and here is this week's offering. I shot this while on our regular stop for fuel and snacks on our way to the camper. Oh and speaking of fuel... we waited for at least five minutes for the pump attendant to fill out tank and I finally got out and noticed he was ignoring a few of the pumps. And as most know it's illegal to pump your own fuel in New Jersey. But I wasn't waiting any longer so I pumped my own. And though the attendant saw me he didn't seem to care. Eh, it's Silly law anyway. Exciting story huh? Oh well, here's this week's Schnitzel picture.

Kim and I got home from the camper early today and I took this opportunity to pay a visit to The Elmwood Park Zoo just around the corner from us. I purchased a yearly pass so I figured I'd break it in. Man was it busy. I guess a lot of people were off from work and school. Besides the weather was almost perfect so it was a great time to get out and take a nice walk. One thing I always say about Elmwood is that they have the best Bald Eagle exhibit I have ever seen. Unlike most zoos theirs is wide open with no glass or cage blocking your view. And as you can probably guess a shot a few pictures. Today I would like to share these two with you.
