Well it's the last day of February and it's a rainy one. Of course it could be snow so there's that. But rain or no rain our local squirrels need to eat. So I tossed them some peanuts this morning, grabbed my camera and shot a few dozen frames. Today's view is one of many good shots I got.

As usual I was up early this morning and made my way out front of our house to feed the squirrels and man was it cold! My weather station reported an outdoor temperature of 18 Degrees Fahrenheit. But that didn't stop the squirrels from coming down out of their nests to grab some breakfast. There was so many in fact that I decided to grab my camera and shoot a few pictures. And for today's view I would like to share this one with you.

So I'm out taking a few pictures of the snow this afternoon and I notice a lot of little footprints all over our yard. They are likely from one of more of three different visitors. Raccoons, foxes and obviously squirrels. We get a lot of each. From the size of the prints I would say they are from the foxes that come around every night but I'm not really sure. I have included a couple shots for today's view so you can have Look. I have also included a black and white I really like. And if you look closely at the black and white you will see lots of footprints.

Today was another snowy and icy one. The drive into work at 6am was very slippery. I drive through three towns that have varying degrees of road treatment and believe me, it shows. But I made it and that's the important thing. Anyway what better way to end such a day than with a Schnitzel picture? He actually posed for me again this week.

Today's view is another squirrel in the snow picture. I shot this last week before the lawn started to clear. And now that a lot of the snow is gone we are forecast to get up to 9 additional inches tomorrow. I hope not but we'll see.

The other day I kind of promised you a better view of our amaryllis during the daylight hours. Well today when I got home from work I decided to give it a try. I definitely got better colors but I wish it had been a little brighter. But overall I still like how it came out.

Many times in the past I have shared pictures of our amaryllis when it bloomed. About once a year. Well today I am sharing a couple pictures of our second amaryllis that was given to us by my sister at Christmas. And it's every bit as nice as our first.
