Welcome to The Thursday View

Today I continued to go through the archives to see if there was anything I wanted to take a second look at. And I found a few things. And for today's photo I would like to share one with you. It is a shot of one of the waterfalls at Longwood Gardens. I know I have probably shared similar images in the the past but I really like the way this one turned out. Except like a few recent shots I can't decide if I like the color version or the black and white better. So once again I present both to you. And you can be the judge of which you like better.

Welcome To The Daily View

Today Kim and I took a drive out to Longwood Gardens to see their newly renovated Main Fountain. It has been under construction for nearly two years and finally opened to the public last weekend. And it is nothing if not absolutely spectacular. Aside from the fountain shows that occur at various times during the day it is just plain nice to look at. I have several pictures that I will be sharing soon. Probably tomorrow. But for today's photo I would like to focus elsewhere at the Gardens.

As a by-product of the construction of the Main Fountain the Chimes Tower waterfall was shut down until last week too. And I almost forgot what a beautiful display it is. So here is a new look at an old favorite.

March 1, 2015 - Photo of The Day

Hi all and welcome to March! We are just a little over two weeks until Spring and here we have yet another snow/ice/freezing rain storm. Old Man Winter just doesn't give up does he? 

Early this morning before the latest weather event started I managed to get out and shoot for a couple of hours. I didn't go too far but I did grab some shots I have wanting to do for a while. Especially before the temperatures warm up. I will be sharing them over the next few days and to start off I would like to show you this.

This is the Schuylkill River shot from the DeKalb Street Bridge that connects Bridgeport, Pennsylvania and Norristown, Pennsylvania. And that is just a handful of the geese that were down there. They were everywhere. I wanted to get this shot before all of the ice melted. There was actually a lot more than this a week ago but I didn't have the opportunity to photograph it at the time.

I also shot a few videos while I was out. Again I will share them over the next few days but for now check this one out.

Hello and welcome to February! It's still cold but we are a little bit closer to Spring.

Hi there again. How is the weather where you are? It's been very cloudy here today. At least it's not raining though.

Today I would like to share a photo from a sunny day. This is another from our trip to Longwood Gardens on Saturday. A nice refreshing waterfall.
