The weather is turning cold here again. It seems that Old Man Winter just doesn't want to give up just yet. Tonight isn't supposed to be too bad at around 35° F but tomorrow night it's supposed to hit 21° F which is not good for our Spring blooms. I did pick up some buckets that I'll put over them to keep any frost out but I just hope the cold doesn't get them. So for today's view I would like to share this tulip. I have about seven or eight blooming right now and I hope they'll be okay. I'll do my best.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's view is a snapshot plus and was made using my Samsung Galaxy S8. I had something else I wanted to share but when I saw this I just had to give it a shot. No pun intended. Well, maybe just a little. This is one of our tulips and it's shadow.

This was shot in the evening after dark and is lit by the lights at our front door.
 
I don't usually share this when I post a snapshot but here is the EXIF data. This is after all a "snapshot plus". Meaning I did some post processing.

Whether or not Spring is finally upon us makes no difference to our garden. Particularly our tulips. They are open and ready for business. At least some of them. And they are the subject of today's view.

Sunday View - 25 February 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View.

This squirrel seems to be asking the same thing a lot of us are. "When oh when will the damp, rainy weather end?". Maybe it's me but the pattern seems to go like this. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we get fairly mild and dry weather. Then comes Thursday through the weekend. Clouds, rain and blech!

But I do hold out some hope. Spring is definitely on it's way. More and more signs are popping up every day. Like these tulips in our front garden that I noticed today.

So we just need to hang on a little longer. Then we can complain about the heat :)

Welcome To The "Throwback Thursday" View

Today's post goes back to around the time I first started blogging. I took a different approach back then. I didn't do a daily post but when I did one it was usually pretty big. I am thinking I might want to change things up a little and do more posts like those. But I still want to do this on a daily basis. So perhaps I'll do a monthly "full post" to start and see how it works out. What do you think? In the meantime enjoy this trip back to 2014. May 5, 2014 to be precise at one of my all time favorite places to shoot. Longwood Gardens. And one of my particularly favorite times of year. Tulip time!

Exploration Photography Daily View - August 20, 2016

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!

Today was a good day in my world of photography. And I didn't shoot one picture. I did however get my hands on another vintage camera. Well sort of vintage. It is from 1981. Considering that is 35 years ago I suppose it is vintage. Man do I feel old! But all of this is for another day. After I get a battery for it and load a roll of film I will set out and do some testing. And I'll be sure to report back with the results.

So seeing as I once again didn't go shooting I figured I'd go through the archives and show you something I previously passed over in post processing. And here is what I came up with.

I shot this on May 2, 2015 at Longwood Gardens during their tulip exhibition. One of my favorite times of year to visit Longwood. Though anytime is a good time to visit Longwood!
