Wednesday View - 18 July 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

I've really been playing around with my new phone today. In fact I was shooting photos first thing this morning before work. I continued when I got home this afternoon and am getting the feel for the new features the camera has. It's not completely different from previous Samsung phone cameras but there are some differences. Over time I will get into them a little more and post some of my findings here. For today's photo however I would like to show you something that surprised me today. It was a good surprise too.

This is the dahlia we planted last year. To tell the truth I had forgotten about it and even almost removed it from our garden. When I was doing some weeding I wasn't sure what it was but decided to leave it be. I am glad I did.

Here is the EXIF data.

Welcome To The Daily View

It was another rainy day here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. But I did manage to grab some shots of the Dahlia we have planted in our front garden. When we first bought it about a month ago it already had flowers but since then they have fallen. About a week after however several buds sprang up and finally began to open a couple days ago.

Welcome To The Daily View

Like I said in yesterday's post this past Saturday was basically a washout. So Sunday is the day we did a lot of our usual weekend errands. But we did manage to do a little running on Saturday and a trip to one of our local home centers was on the list. While there we picked up some more flowers for our garden. Among them is my very first dahlia.

I shot this in Sunday's bright sun before Kim planted it in the garden by our front door. Now it greets us when we get home after a long day at work.
