Friday View - 7 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's view is a snapshot and a mobile update. Summer may unofficially be over but we will still be heading to the shore for another couple of months. For today though here is a shot of Schnitzel while we were waiting for Kim at the Wawa on Route 322. Our regular stop on the way to and on the way home from the shore.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Throwback Thursday View - 6 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's throwback is from September 6, 2014 at Longwood Gardens. Like today it was a hot and humid day as we walked the gardens. But this squirrel didn't seem to mind. I guess he had his hands full with lunch (or dinner?). Be sure to Click Here to see my original post.

Wednesday View - 5 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today I am sharing yet another winged creature. Like the last two this one was also photographed at The Audubon Center at Mill Grove but is of a slightly larger scale. This was one of the few birds that would sit still long enough for me to get a shot or two.

Tuesday View - 4 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today I am continuing with another shot I made at the Audubon Center at Mill Grove yesterday. And just like the subject of yesterday's photo today's has wings too. Take a look at this butterfly I saw in a bed of wildflowers just outside the Center's museum.

Monday View - 3 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today on a rare Monday off from work and an even more rare off day at home I was determined to get out and shoot for a bit. As many of you know Kim and I spend most weekends at the shore in the Summer. And as such I haven't had a lot of time to enjoy our local surroundings. Don't get me wrong though, I love the new places we are discovering in Cape May County and will probably miss a few of our regular stops in the Winter months. But as the saying goes "There's no place like home".

Today for only the second time we visited the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. A place that is literally 10 minutes from our house. I have known about the center for quite a while but never really knew all that it offered. And wow! What an awesome place just brimming with nature. With my camera in hand I was like a kid in a candy store. I got so much good material for the blog and will be sharing it over the next several days. Plus as a bonus to an already great day of shooting I set up in our backyard (aka The Garden Cafe) when we got home and got lots there too. It was just one of those "on" days I have every once in a while. So for today's photo I am starting off small and sharing this dragonfly with you. I always liked dragonflies for some reason. I think it's because they look a little scary but are really quite harmless.

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

To wrap up the weekend I am sharing a similar but different photo to yesterday's view. This is another cone flower but this time it has a visitor.

Saturday View - 1 September 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

For today's mobile update I share with you this flower. At first glance I thought it was a daisy but was told it is a "cone flower". I was also told that unlike a daisy which is an annual that a cone flower is a perennial so it will return every year. I might have to get one or two for the Garden Cafe.

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!
