Yesterday I showed you how tall our amaryllis has grown. But as it's gotten taller one of our orchids has been busy too. The very plant I posted a couple weeks ago has bloomed quite nicely and it still has a lot of buds. Just like the amaryllis I took the orchid outside so I could shoot it in a more natural environment. And just like yesterday there was a breeze in the air making the plant sway a bit. But I was able to get some good shots anyway. Like this one.

Monday View - 12 March 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today was my first work day since we shifted our clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time and losing an hour this past weekend. I usually don't have a problem adjusting but this morning I was kind of tired starting my day. It wasn't too bad though. What I do love about moving the clocks is that we get more daylight in the evening. I am actually able to enjoy the outdoors for a while after work. Today I took advantage of this extra light and took our amaryllis out back to shoot a few photos so I can share it's progress with you. And man did it grow. I haven't measured it but you should get the idea.

Pay no attention to our lawn. It's brown now but in a few weeks it will start to turn green for the Summer.

Here is a closeup of the flower. It should bloom any day now.

With the weather a little friendlier today I tried to spend some time outside to grab some pictures of our Cafe visitors. It was a busy day out there but I wasn't able to get a lot. I did capture some shots though and for today's view would like to share this one with you. This is one of our regulars who I believe lives in a nest in our Oak tree. Or is it a den? I think it's a den.

Welcome to The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's throwback takes us to March 8, 2016 and much warmer times. It was in the 70's that day opposed to the 40's we have today. And there was no snow on the ground then either. But Spring is just under 12 days away so warmer weather should soon follow.
