It's that time of year when we see geese migrating south for the winter in search of warmer weather and more importantly food. But these geese were flying north. In fact we see a lot of them in the colder months. I guess their food supply is plentiful.

With the recent cold weather we decided it was a good idea to bring in some of our plants that may not survive such low temperatures. That includes our hibiscus that has a good number of buds. Well when I got up today I noticed one of the buds bloomed into a big flower. Naturally I shot a few pictures and for today's view I would like to share these two with you.

With the days getting shorter and sunset much earlier now I don't have a lot of time to do things outdoors when I get home from work. So that means I have to feed our squirrels right away.
