And welcome to another Friday Schnitzel picture. Here we see him letting me know it's time for his afternoon walk. He can spend an hour running around our pretty roomy yard and yet he still insists on his walk. And how could I say no?

A walk is not the same! You get email,right? Well,they go walk to get their pee mail.Yes,
ReplyDeletepee mail. By sniffing trees,hydrants even walls they can tell who's who in the neighborhood.
Then they leave their 'calling card'. In addition,the more varied their walk,they learn their
home area. Should they ever get out they can sniff their way home. (Here's where the shepard lives;
the mean terrier is here,that means I'm almost home!) I choose to re-enforce this as a block from
home,I free up some leash with "go home!" in a happy voice. Most times they head right for our steps!
Yes, he does his share of sniffing and peeing. I think he's marked every standing object in the neighborhood :) He also likes to give me a much needed workout. I wish I had his energy
