Monday View - 9 September 2024 Edition

Well my vacation is over for now and it was time to head back to work this morning. That meant being up nice and early. For some reason it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Being up early with a clear sky gave me the opportunity to grab some shots of the night sky. And though I still have a lot to share from last week I am going to show you these.

Wednesday View - 4 September 2024 Edition

Today I would like to share some more shots from Monday. These were made just down the road from the Audubon Center at Pawling Farm, part of Valley Forge National Park. I don't know a lot about the farm but I do know that the very large Sycamore tree is estimated to be around 300 years old and to have been alive during the Winter encampment of General Washington and his troops.

Tuesday View - 3 September 2024 Edition

Yesterday was a very busy one. But it was busy with me taking a couple trips to local spots that I love to photograph. And for today's view I would like to share my visit to The John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove.

Monday View - 2 September 2024 Edition

Hi there my friends. It's been about a week since I last posted but I am still here. I hope to have some really cool stuff to share in the next few days and to start off I would like to show you these shots of the night sky I made last night and early this morning. These were made with my Canon G9X Mark II. This is a great little camera that is not only very portable but has a large for it's size 1" sensor and a quality lens. And it's packed with features like the cool star photography scenery mode I used for these pictures. As with most night sky photography a tripod was a must. Remember to click each image to view it in full size.

Until next time...

Sunday View - 25 August 2024 Edition

The weekend weather has been very friendly and it seems that perhaps Autumn may arrive sooner than later. I know I'm in the minority but it can't get here fast enough for me. The last several Summers have been way too hot. Though this one has been a little better. With some more comfortable temperatures I made it to one of my favorite spots to photograph. The Morris Arboretum right on the edge of Philly. I got lots of shots that I will share over the next few posts but to start today I'm staying small. Real small for the most part. Here are some pollinators and other insects that I saw. Oh, and one Robin.

Here is a shot of the Moon this morning before I headed to work. It's not full but it's close.
