Welcome To The Sunday View

Kim and I spent our first full day in Virginia Beach today. Fortunately the weather warmed up a bit and we were able to get out and about. But before that I was up nice and early and though I did not plan on it for today I headed out to the beach to view and of course shoot the sunrise. The skies were rather cloudy and the Sun wasn't visible for long but I was still able to grab some pretty decent shots. And now I am here to share one with you.

Today was a busy one my friends. Kim and I finally managed to take a week off and are vacationing in Virginia Beach. I will certainly do my best to grab some good shots to share with you. And what better way is there to start than by showing you this awesome sunset I photographed with my phone while on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Kim and I had one at our old house and actually talked about planting one at our new home next Spring. And if we do I will certainly place it on my list of things to shoot. Photography is the art of capturing light. And today's photo is a perfect example of this simple definition. This rhododendron caught my eye as I saw the sun shine trough and present a perfect shadow of the leaf on the other side.
