Hi all! How about this crazy weather. Especially the wind. But Spring is almost here. Just a little less than 2 days. But enough of that. Let's take a look at today's photo(s). When I got up this morning I stepped out onto our deck as I often do and was greeted by this.
If you look real close you can see the whole Moon. There is the bright sliver with a tiny hint of the "disk". And not a cloud in the sky. But it sure was brisk. And in addition to this I also shot another time lapse of the sunrise. You can check it out at the link below.

And here is today's "Amaryllis Watch" photo. We are really getting close now. How funny would it be if it wasn't an Amaryllis? No matter. It will be very nice either way.

Today we continue with my trip to Valley Forge on Sunday. I have shot this on many occasions but I tried to make it a little more unique this time. If you have been following his blog or my photos for any amount of time you will recognize the scene. Check it out.
What do you think? I kind of like it. I tried to bring out the environment which was a little cool and very, very windy. The wind was so fierce at one point that I had trouble shooting because I couldn't steady my hands and my camera.
Of course I also have my daily "Amaryllis Watch" photo for you. I really think it's close now. You can see the tip of the bud getting ready to open. At least that's the way I see it.
I took the plant outside onto the deck this afternoon to shoot this. I think the sun is good for it too. I did bring it in though because it's supposed to get cold tonight. Crazy weather this time of year.

Today I was going to share another photo from my trip to The Schuylkill Trail yesterday. But when I got up this morning the sky was amazing and I grabbed several shots of it before the sun rose. And then the sunrise occurred and I grabbed some shots of that too. So I figured what the hey? Why don't I share all of them with you? So let's get started. Here is the the sky before sunrise.
And now for the sunrise.
And now we go back to yesterday at The Schuylkill Trail. I like to call this Camouflage Cabin.
And let's not forget the "Amaryllis Watch". Today though I want to show you just how tall it has grown. Just about a week ago the bud was maybe two or three inches above the pot. Take a look now.

With just five days to Spring things are really beginning to warm up. And with the rain finally gone for now people were out in droves to enjoy what is left of the weekend. My trip to Valley Forge today was a good example. It may have only been in the low 40's and it was tremendously windy but I saw runners and bicyclists and general sightseers throughout the park. And I was right out there with them. Me and my camera! And I got a lot of photos. Today I am sharing a couple with you. Along with a little extra.
Anyone who has followed my blog or Facebook page knows that I am partial to this tree. I think I have a few hundred photographs of it. Yes really. A few hundred. But in all of them I have never shot it like this. From the other side. The field that it is in is usually overgrown but for some reason it has been mowed down and I can actually get to the other side. So I guess this is a fresh look at something familiar.
And on another note the "Amaryllis Watch" continues. Here is today's shot. Looking at it two things are very obvious. One, it has grown about an inch from yesterday. Two, I really need to clean that window. I guess I can get to it now that the rain has ended.
As for the little extra I promised I have two videos
for you. Now the tree is in the main part of the park but the videos are
actually from the Betzwood Trail Head on the Schuylkill River. So
please take a look and enjoy. Remember that my videos are best
viewed at full screen and in 1080P. Although you may want to turn the
volume down a little because like I said it was very windy.

Well the weather forecasters predicted rain for today and rain it did. In fact it rained all last night and most of today. We are still getting on and off showers now. And you probably know what you get when you mix moderate temperatures and rain. Fog. So what I am sharing with you today is my attempt to capture some of it with my camera phone.
This is the quarry near our house. You can see some fog in the distance and to the right. Later on when it got darker there was a lot more fog but I am not going in a quarry in the dark. Not to mention it was raining at the time.
And now of course we continue our "Amaryllis Watch". It's about an inch taller and I think its getting closer to opening. You can't see it here but the bud is softer and if I try I can open it very slightly.
And before I go here is something I saw today that made me laugh.

Hi all and thanks for stopping by on this second Friday The 13th in as many months. I am kind of in a hurry today so let's get right into it. For today's photo I would like to share a shot I got of the Moon while on our deck this morning before sunrise.
It was a bit chilly but the sky was crystal clear so I was able to get some good detail. What do you think?
And of course I have another "Amaryllis Watch" photo for you too. It's really getting tall and it was also bending toward the window so I rotated it and it actually straitened out during the day.
