Hi folks. I am a little under the weather today so this is going to be quick. Today I would like to share another photo from Easter Sunday morning at Valley Forge.
Thanks for stopping by. Please come back soon.

April 6, 2015 - Photo of The Day
Welcome all and Happy Monday! Well it was back to work today and the countdown has begun for our next holiday, Memorial Day. Memorial Day of course is the unofficial start of Summer. Right now though we are just at the beginning of Spring and I must say that I almost like it better than Summer. I guess it's because Spring brings with it the promise of better weather and warmer days. Something to look forward to. And similar to Autumn Spring has it's own unique beauty. Just like Autumn has the changing colors of the leaves Spring has buds and fresh leaves and if you get out at the right time of day the golden sunlight really makes for some nice scenery. That time of day is the golden hour. The golden hour is approximately one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset. And that brings us to the photo of the day.
This was shot about 45 minutes after sunrise yesterday. I made a similar photo last year on Easter Sunday so I thought I would shoot another one.
And that's all for today. I'll be back real soon with more. I hope to see you here.
Until next time...

April 5, 2015 - Photo Of The Day (Happy Easter!)
So I wake up early this morning. About 5:30 am actually. Yesterday I thought about heading to Valley Forge this morning to shoot the sunrise but I figured that if I woke in time it was meant go be. If not then that was fine too. Well I guess it was meant to be so off to Valley Forge I went. After bathing and getting dressed of course. On my drive over there I was hoping that the gates would be open in time. There have been a few times where they cut it real close but today they were open when I got there. And there was an unusually large number of vehicles entering the park. And on top of that the parking lot that I use was half full. And I found out why. One of the local churches was holding a sunrise service. What a wonderful idea! And I don't think they could have asked for a better day. The sun was shining (well, after sunrise), the sky was clear and it was already in the high 40's. It was a quick service though. They finished up about ten minutes after the sun rose. And as for the sunrise? Well take a look.
And that's not all! I also managed to shoot a time lapse. You can see it at the link below.

And here is a photo of me shooting the time lapse. I used Lapse It Pro for Android on my Motorola Droid Turbo. As you can see the phone was mounted on my tripod.
And that's all for now. But I did shoot a lot this morning and have much more to share with you. Please be sure to come back soon and check it out. Thanks for stopping by and may I wish you a very Happy Easter.

April 4, 2015 - Photo of The Day
It was a busy day today. It started out with taking the car in to the dealer for routine maintenance at 8 am and then it was on to our weekly errands. And this evening we went out for dinner. On the way home it was just getting dark and I thought it would be nice to take a drive through Valley Forge and grab some sunset photos but I figured the gates would be shut since it closes at dusk. Well fortunately they were open and I was able to shoot some. These were shot with my phone and and then touched up in Photoshop.
I have more to go through that I will share in an upcoming post. But I do have one more for you today. In case you missed it the Moon was spectacular tonight.
And now it's getting late and I am going to wrap it up. Thanks as always for stopping by.
Until next time...

April 3, 2015 - Photo Of The Day
Over the past few weeks or so I have shared with you the progress of our amaryllis from a bud to three large flowers with another bulb ready to bloom. Today I would like to share another flower with you. This is the orchid that my sister Elaine gave us when we visited her on Thanksgiving.
Five months and it is still going good. Orchids are one of my favorite flowers but to be honest this is the first one I have ever had. I had always heard they are difficult to care for but I guess I must be doing something right.
And since we are talking about flowers I have another "project". This weekend I am going to plant a Stargazer Lily. I bought three bulbs about a month ago and have been waiting for better weather. I am starting it in a large pot and will probably transfer it to a spot outside once it gets going. Of course I will photograph it's progress and share it here.
And that's all for now. Please be sure to stop in again to see what I have to share. I thank you for reading.

April 2, 2015 - Photo Of The Day
What a beautiful day we had today. The temperatures almost hit 70° and it was dry. Even the higher than usual winds didn't make it feel cold. So I thought it would be nice to take the Amaryllis out on the deck and grab some shots and to let it get some nice warm and fresh air. And that is what I did.
The only problem I had was the wind that I mentioned but I was able to snap some frames in between gusts. I got a lot of blurry ones but I think this one came out pretty good.
And that is all I've got for you today folks. But I will be back real soon with some more. I hope to see you here at the blog. And don't forget about the Facebook page. Thanks for stopping by.

April 1, 2015 - Photo of The Day
Welcome to April folks. I love April. April brings with it the beginning of baseball season and that means warmer weather. Two of my favorite things. So how about I share with you a touch of Spring with some more photos from Ocean City, Maryland from last weekend? Well at least the "look" of Spring because I can tell you that it was not warm. Today we have a few shots I made of the boardwalk.
All of these were shot on Saturday. The first two early in the day and the third one around 5:00 PM. Notice how empty it is? Well if I were to go back and shoot these on a Saturday a few weeks from now it would be packed. I just might have to do that. Another thing that I never noticed before is how much narrower the boardwalk is when compared to Ocean City, New Jersey. To be honest though I can't really pick a favorite. They are both very similar and at the same time very different. I would have to say that the biggest difference comes down to real estate. Ocean City, Maryland has numerous high rises and many oceanfront hotels and condominiums whereas New Jersey has a smaller look and a lot more vintage motels. And I like it that way. It makes each one a different experience.
And I am wrapping it up for now. I'll be back real soon with more photos including some more of the amaryllis. Thanks for stopping by.
