Today's view is a bluejay that I saw at the Cafe this afternoon. It was weird though. He was in a tree pecking at a branch. Then later I saw him on the ground pecking at a stick. But I did get some good shots of him. Like this one.

Anyone know what kind of bird this is? I saw him yesterday while out in the Cafe. He had a funny kind of hopping movement. Sort of like a woodpecker. It was also rather hard to get a good shot but here you go.

Do you know what happens when you spill birdseed and let some of it grow? Well look here and you'll find out. This is next to one of the Cafe feeders where some of our birds and probably a squirrel our two got a little sloppy. What's cool is I have seen birds eating seeds off of it.

When I went to the local park yesterday I thought it would be nice to photograph some wildflowers. The only problem is that there wasn't a whole lot in the way of wildflowers to photograph. That is except for these. These are literally the only flowers I found. Still nice though.

So I took a walk at the local park today and as usual headed for one of my favorite paths. Here is what I saw when I got there.
It was blocked off. Now take a look at the hand written sign and see why. Also, do you see what is wrong with the sign?
So anyway I walked a little further and was able to find another entrance to the path I was headed for. And here's a couple shots a made when I got there. I love shooting along the creek.
And though these shots made my visit and slight detour worth it I will share my real objective of going to the park with you tomorrow.

It's raining right now. And there's plenty of thunder and lightning too. In fact this is the second round of storms tonight. In between the two there was just a little bit of light left so I decided to photograph our day lilies. They look really nice with droplets of rain on them.
