Today we take another look at the Cafe and yet another squirrel. This guy hung around most of the morning along with some family and friends. They went through two feeders worth of seed. I'm beginning to think they prefer the seed over peanuts. These pictures were shot through our backdoor widow with my phone. The amazing Galaxy S20 Ultra. Oh And I have a video I'd like to share too.

As you can see we don't just get squirrels and cardinals at the Cafe. We see a lot of these little guys too. And with today's cold temperatures I'm sure they were glad to find a good meal.

So I decide to take a quick drive to Valley Forge this morning figuring I'd shoot a few pictures. Specifically what some of you know as "my favorite" tree. But when I got there, it was gone! I know it was dead but it's been there for many years and actually looked really cool. And it wasn't anywhere that it would hurt anyone. Maybe it came down on a storm? I don't know. But at least I have literally hundreds of pictures of it. Anyway for today's view here is two shots from Valley Forge today. The first is of course a cabin and the second is Shot of where the tree once stood. Right there in the center of the image.

I know it's almost the middle of January but yesterday we were finally able to visit Longwood Gardens to see their annual Christmas exhibit. Something we have been doing for many years now. And as usual I shot a lot of pictures. For today's view I am sharing some nighttime photos of the grounds. These aren't necessarily Christmassy but I love the opportunity to be there after dark and capture some of the architecture while it is lit up. Come back soon though because I did grab some more seasonal shots.

I was up nice and early today, at least for a Sunday, and I look outside to see that our Cafe patrons were up even earlier. They were savaging for a meal. So of course I go right to it and made sure there was plenty to go around. Some of them ate at one of our ground level seats while some chose something a bit higher up with a view. Such as this one.

Today's view was shot with my cell phone this morning as our Cafe friends were eating. This is one very well fed squirrel that can often be seen at one of the backyard feeders. What's cool is that when she eats a lot of the seed falls onto a deck box below and the birds eat from there. So everyone gets a meal. On a side note this was shot through two doors. That being said I think it came out pretty good.
