Sunday View - 27 March 2022 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today has been a very chilly and very windy one but so far our flowers have been okay. I did cover the tulips with buckets last night and due to said wind have left them on today. I hope this cold snap passes quickly. Anyway while I was out photographing our tulips yesterday I also shot some pictures in one of our neighbor's yard. They have daffodils and lots of wildflowers. And for today's view I would like to share this little wildflower. You can't tell from the photo but it is less than an in wide. I got up close using that 50mm lens I got at Christmas. I am really loving shooting with it.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Monday View - 1 July 2019 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today's view is what I set out to share with you yesterday when I discovered the "double butterfly" picture. I posted a similar shot last week but didn't use my tripod. This time I did and got a much clearer image. This of course is from the newest addition to the Cafe, our new wildflower garden.

Tuesday View - 7 August 2018 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today I am sharing another shot from the Lizard Tail Swamp Preserve. This time though we shift away from the insect world and stick to plant life. This is some kind of wildflower but I don't know exactly what variety. I do know that it makes for a nice subject to practice my closeup photography. I shot this handheld since I didn't have a tripod with me but I think it came out pretty good.

Welcome To The Friday View

Today we continue with my recent trips to both sides of Valley Forge National Park. And just like yesterday's photo today's is another macro. Once again I think I could have made a crisper image if the wind was a bit calmer. Still though I am very pleased with the outcome.

This is from Pawling's Farm.

I don't do a lot of black and white flowers. However after working with this one for quite a while I just wasn't happy with the colors. I couldn't tweak them "just right". So I decided to try removing the color altogether and really liked it. I hope you do too!

Exploration Photography Daily View - June 2, 2016

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!

If you have been visiting my blog for any amount of time you probably know that I don't like to photograph people. It's just not my thing. Whether it be plants and flowers or landscapes or even animals I find nature much easier to work with. But every once in a while I do like to shoot the odd portrait. After all a flower can be the subject of a portrait right?

This is a wildflower in our back yard. And to think I almost hacked them away with the trimmer a couple of weeks ago.

Exploration Photography Daily View - April 2, 2016

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!

Anyone who has read my blog for a while knows that there are a few places that I just love to photograph. Places that no matter how many times I visit are always fresh and inviting. Right at the top of that list is of course Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square Pennsylvania. And right about now Longwood is full of Spring blooms. So even though the weather was a bit iffy this morning Kim and I took a drive there and I must say it was not disappointing. I got lots of great shots. Today I would like to share this one with you.
