Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View It's that time of year again when some of our wild flowers start to bloom. Not wildflowers but flowers that are wild. And some of the first to appear are the Grape Hyacinth. We get a lot of them but they only last for a few weeks. In fact a lot of our neighbors get them too. Today after the rain ended and the sun came out I grabbed a few shots of a group of them outside our front door. And for today's view I am sharing one with you.
Today has been another blah kind of day. I haven't seen any rain but it sure is cloudy. So needless to say I didn't shoot a whole lot today. But I did see a squirrel or two that hung around long enough for me to grab some shots. And for today's view I would like to share a couple with you. And in this first one I would swear she is smiling.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today I am sharing another sign that Spring is really here. Even if it's a little cooler today. Oh and with lots of rain. But aside from that Spring has sprung. Anyway here you go. A lot of people hate these along with the dandelions that come later but I like them. I like a little contrast to a green lawn. Without contrast things would be boring.
Today's Friday Schnitzel picture is from our backyard. Here we see him staring very intently at a squirrel off in the distance. Yeah but it would be too much effort to chase the squirrel so he just sat and observed.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today instead of a throwback picture I am sharing a view from our yard, aka the Cafe. We did a lot of Spring cleaning today and I liked this scene. You can see our weeping willow that is flowering.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today I would like to share a little bit of Spring with you. The first via a snapshot I made in the Cafe today. And what better sign of Spring than a robin?
And here is a bud from our lilac. I love the scent it gives off when at full bloom which should be in a few weeks or so.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today I would like to share the point of view of another one of our flowers. This time it's our amaryllis. The view is a lot nicer than yesterday since the sun came out.
And I also have a few videos to share. I was playing around with the time lapse feature on my camera and thought the cafe would be a good place to test it.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View For today's view I would like to share my view on this dreary, rainy day. And it's the same view that our daisy sees every day.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today's view is yet another shot from the Cafe. And the way things are going it seems that this is a trend that will continue for a while. But I will make the best of it. Besides we are all basically in the same boat. So that being said this is the only mention of the virus you will see here. For now have a look at this squirrel. I was shooting another photo and saw this guy grabbing a peanut.
And here is a short video I shot today at one of the feeders. It was a very busy day.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
I did a lot of yard cleanup today. It's a little cooler than yesterday and definitely more windy but the sun is shining and it's pretty nice overall. And even with the wind I decided to take our daisy outside again and see if I could get some better shots than the other day. That was the day I had a squirrel on the roof. And it was a good thing because the daisy shots weren't that good. Today's however are a lot better. So here you go.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View It's Friday my friends and that means it's time for another Friday Schnitzel picture. This time though I am in the chair and he is leaning on me.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today's throwback is from March 19, 2017 in Atlantic City New Jersey. This is a portion of the boardwalk that had been damaged by multiple storms over the years. It has since been repaired. Click Here to see my original post.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Yesterday when I was on the ground shooting our daisy I heard a noise and when I turned to look I saw this guy. He didn't notice me at first because I was laying flat but when he did spot me he dashed up the tree. Something tells me I might want to try this again.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View I set out today to bring you a photo of our daisy. It's starting to bloom and will soon open up fully. I even took it outside and got on the ground to shoot it straight on. I got a few shots and got up and noticed something on our roof. And that something is now today's view. A squirrel.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View A couple weeks ago I shared a photo of our Amaryllis that has started to bloom again. Well now over the last few days it has really grown and the flower is opening. For today's view I am sharing three shots ranging from Saturday through today that show just how fast it's growing and how big it's getting. Pretty soon it will be at full bloom.
And here is another video from yesterday morning at the Cafe. You can see we get quite the variety of birds. Please give it about 15 seconds for the first bird to show up.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View With all that is going on nowadays we have been spending a little more time at home. I won't get into it because I think we are all tired of it. We all know what I mean though. As such I have had a little more time to spend at the cafe with my camera. So here, for today's view, is a squirrel. Surprised?
And here is a little video I made. It was really busy this morning and this is just a sampling. But I have lots more to share so stay tuned.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today I would like to share a few photos I made of a neighbor's daffodils this afternoon. They are in full bloom and a good sign that Spring is just around the corner. I guess it helps that the weather has been unseasonably warm too. In fact there were bees around here last week. Now I just hope it doesn't get too cold for them.
It's time again for a Friday Schnitzel picture. In today's view we see him in my chair again. And I know he looks scared but I had actually just gotten home from work and he was greeting me. I snapped at just the right time.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today we take a look back to March 12, 2016 at Atlantic city New Jersey. And as you can see it's a sunrise. I hope to see a few of these this summer at the shore. I really want to shoot the sun some more. You can Click Here to see my original post.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Today I would like to share a squirrel that spent a lot of time at one of our feeders on Sunday. And like the bird shots I made that day I was able to use a faster shutter because it was really sunny. This guy was probably there for an hour or more. And I don't mean off and on. He just stayed and grazed.
Well folks our power is out right now. Yep It's after 9PM and the power company is doing routine tree trimming. Perfect time for it huh? Anyway I am lucky to have a mobile hotspot so I am able to do a quick post. Today's view is a shot of the Moon from Saturday evening. It wasn't quite full but it was close.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Like predicted yesterday today's weather was much better. It was warm, sunny and there was very little wind. And I was up nice and early so I had a chance to set up my camera and grab some good shots. With the nice bright sunshine I was able to use a faster shutter and get clearer images. And for today's view I am sharing a few with you.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Kim and I had a busy day running errands but I did spend some time shooting at the Cafe. Aside from being windy it was sunny and clear and we had lots of diners. Including these two birds in our rear seating area.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View Friday is here and that means it's time for a Friday Schnitzel picture. Here he is posing for me on the floor by the couch. One of his favorite places to nap.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...
Welcome to The Exploration Photography Daily View Today's throwback is from March 5, 2017 right here at the cafe. This is one of the first woodpeckers I ever photographed. Just one of the large variety we get around here. Now I just need to see some hummingbirds. You can see my original post if you Click Here.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View I had a short window of opportunity this afternoon to grab my camera and see what was going on at the cafe. And truthfully there wasn't a lot. But I did spot one of our squirrels up in a neighbor's tree eating a peanut. Hmm, wonder where she got it from?
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View I love shooting sunrises. Only problem is I just haven't had time to lately. Maybe soon? But in the meantime how about a sunset? I shot this through some trees across the street from us today after work. The day was pretty cloudy but the sun did come out long enough for me to capture today's view.
Today's view is another bluejay from yesterday in the Cafe. A bluejay and a grackle actually. They usually don't eat together but I guess with all the peanuts they just ignored each other.
Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View It wasn't really warm today but it was clear and sunny. The Cafe was really busy too. Early in the day when it was really cool out I set up my camera in the front yard and put out some peanuts near a couple fallen branches to see what I could get and I did okay I guess. I discovered after the fact however that my focus points could have been set better. I actually missed a lot of good shots because they were blurry. And my depth of field was lacking too. But I did come out with a few cool shots and today I am sharing two with you. They are a before and after. The "before' is when the bluejay had a peanut and the "after" is when he dropped it. He did get a peanut though. In fact he got several.
