Sunday View - 29 January 2023 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

As usual I was up early this morning so I checked the weather to see whether or not I would attempt to grab a sunrise photo or two. My Alexa assistant said it was cloudy but I also checked Accuweather and they said it was just partly cloudy. Well now I had to just get up and look for myself. So I ran through my normal morning routine and got dressed and just as it was getting light out I looked to the skies and saw that it was indeed partly cloudy. And off to the park I went. What was I able to capture? A very nice sky with some good colors but not really a full view of the sun. But that's okay because what I did get was really good. And now for today's view I would like to share it with you.

And now I am sharing not one but two videos with you. The first is from my walk along the creek at the Norristown Farm Park yesterday and is an up close look at the water.

And this next video is from the Cafe this morning. Here we see one of probably six squirrels that were looking for their breakfast.

I set out this morning to shoot the sunrise. The weather "experts" said the sky was partly cloudy so I figured it was a go. Well when I got to the park the sky was just about completely cloud covered and there was barley a hint of sun. So I didn't get a sunrise photo. Fortunately I already had a couple shots from yesterday I wanted to share so for today's view check out this pretty female cardinal.

Good day my friends. Today is National Squirrel Day here in the States and though I let most of these unofficial holidays pass by without much notice you obviously know I can't do that with this one. And as luck would have it there is no shortage of squirrels here at the Cafe. Especially in the early morning hours when they are foraging for food. So I set up my camera and placed some peanuts out and it was only a matter of moments before our special guests showed up. And now for today's view I would like to share some of the party pics.

Today I would like to share one more sunset picture from Sunday evening. It was a very good day of shooting and I hope to get out there again soon to see what nature has for me to capture. And a quick note about this and a couple of my other recent images. You may notice some streaks in the sky. At first glance I thought these were planes but I don't recall seeing any. Then someone suggested they may be some low orbit satellites. Not sure but I think I'll take a better look at the sky next time I'm out there shooting.

A couple days ago I stopped by the park top try for a sunset picture and as you may know I got a nice shot but the Sun wasn't shining through the clouds. So seeing as yesterday was nice and clear I figured I'd give it another shot. And I am glad I did because I think I got some pretty good stuff. So for today's view I would like to share a couple.

Sunday View - 15 January 2023 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

I was up nice and early again today and one of the first things I did was ask my Alexa device what the weather was like. Alexa reported back that it was 26°F and clear. I wasn't thrilled with the temperature but what I was really looking for was a clear sky. And since it was clear I decided to head over to the park and grab some sunrise photos. I did a little experimenting with the camera settings this time and I think I came up with some nice results. Such as this shot of the "Full" Sun.

I made this next shot after I was done with my close-ups. I was actually just messing around but even with a little grain I like it.

And this last picture was shot just to the right of the Sun. I was trying to capture light over the field. It's a tad out of focus in the foreground but the subject is really the trees in the distance and the overall aura, or mood of the scene.

So I get up early today and thought maybe I'd drive to the park and shoot the sunrise. But the sky was cloudy and it was very cold so I decided not to. Then by this afternoon the clouds were spotty and there was a lot of sky showing through so I figured okay let's try for the sunset. Well there wasn't too much sun but the sky looked nice so I shot a bunch of pictures and now for today's view I would like to share one of them with you.
