Today I am sharing another picture from a recent visit to the zoo. I must say it's really cool having a zoo literally five minutes from home. On this particular trip I was able to get up close to a couple of unofficial residents. I was about a foot away from these vultures that decided to rest on the fence of the Bald Eagle display. They weren't afraid of me in any way. I guess they're used to people.

For today's Friday Schnitzel picture we see him as he is napping after a nice meal. A nice meal of his regular dog food and a few pieces of a USDA Prime New York Strip steak. Really, how many dogs eat that good?

Today we visit the zoo again and take a look at another bird. This one however is not flightless. And it also has a lot of friends. And I mean a lot. Today I am sharing a Turkey Buzzard. There is probably at least a hundred that call Elmwood home. They are literally everywhere. Seeing as they generally don't kill for food in not really sure what they eat but there must be something they like.

Today was a chilly one. Windy too. So I figured it would be a good time to visit the local zoo. And I got there just an hour after they opened to a very full parking lot. It turns out that there was a Halloween event that attracted a pretty large crowd. Since I was there already I went in anyway and naturally shot a good number of frames. A few hundred actually. So for the next few posts I will be sharing them with you. Today I am starting with the big cats. And as you can see they are not that different from our house cats. Well aside from being a tad larger.

I ran some errands today after we got home from the camper and decided to make a quick stop at the park up the street to shoot a few pictures. In the summer there is corn in this field but now I can see to the other side. For today's view here is one of the shots I made.

Today we see another sign that nature is a bit confused this year. About a week or so ago I posted a picture of a flower on our hibiscus.
