Hi there my friends. Well the weather has warmed up a bit but I still had a lot of yard work to get done so I started nice and early. I mean before 7 am early. And it was great. It was about 59°F and very comfortable. After some light weeding I ran the mower. I know it sounds like it was way too early to use a lawnmower but mine is battery powered and pretty quiet. Then after 8 am I ran the trimmer and blower which are pretty loud. So why am I telling you this? Well because after of all of the work I did this morning I didn't have the time or energy to get out with my camera. Actually I guess I had the time but it was getting hot and I just didn't feel like it. So I set up at the suet feeder and though it was fairly slow I did manage to grab a couple shots of one of our downy woodpeckers. And for today's view I would like to share them with you.

For today's view I wanted to bring you a series of new photos from a different perspective. I have a bench that sits along one side of the Cafe that I keep a bowl of fresh water on for anyone who needs to use it. But I thought it may be cool if I put a tray of seed there too to see who might stop by and eat it. I added some peanuts too. But in all I came up with only one decent shot. And now I would like to share it with you.

Okay, today's view is not as nice as I would like it to be. It was shot at long range and some of the detail is off but I still want to share it. This is a recent addition to the Cafe family of guests. I was told there was groundhogs in the area but until about a week ago I had never seen one. So when I had a chance to grab a picture I did. The thing with this groundhog is that it is very skittish. If it hears me at all it will run into the bushes. So anyway for today's view have a look at our groundhog.

We have been having another nice day here my friends so I thought I would take advantage of it by taking a walk in the park. For the past few weeks I have been making a point to walk the trails at the Norristown Farm Park, camera in hand of course. So today I headed there for a stroll along the creek. The park offers so many different things to see and the creek is one of my favorites. And for today's view I would like to share some of them with you. I would like to note that the first shot is kind of unusual but I just had to include it. What you are seeing is a lantern fly apparently being eaten by a yellow jacket.
