I took a little time today after work to spend in the cafe with my camera. This morning started out pretty cold but by the end of the day it was nice. And as usual the squirrels were active. My regulars came looking for peanuts so I gave them a handful and snapped away. This particular girl is the friendliest of them all. And I'm pretty sure she is about to give birth so we need to keep her well fed.

Before we left camp today and headed home I made sure to snap a few shots of today's view. And it's another dandelion. The second one I am sharing in a week. This particular one caught my eye when we arrived yesterday because it was (and is) popping up through the rocks right next to where I park my truck. I love this shot I made with my Galaxy S9+.

Dandelions are not weeds. Unpopular? Maybe. Weeds? Definitely not. And if you don't believe me have a look Here or Here. Or of course you could just take a look at today's photo. I shot this yesterday morning in the cafe.

Could something so beautiful really be a weed? I think not! But love 'em or hate 'em they're here to stay. Second in resilience to perhaps only the cockroach. But cockroaches can go. Yuck!

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Hi there my friends. I hope everyone enjoyed or is enjoying their Easter. Ours was wonderful. We spent a lot of the day enjoying our own backyard and had a very nice dinner with good friends and family. And of course I got some camera time in while out in the yard (aka the Cafe). Our trees and flowers are really blooming now and looking good. As I have mentioned before, one of the reasons I wanted this house was the weeping willow that came along with it. But I love all of our trees. And they are plentiful. In fact we have three dogwoods. Today I would like to share some flowers on one of them that caught my eye.

Stay tuned for more of my Cafe blooms. And maybe a bird or squirrel. I have lots to share.

Saturday View - 20 April 2019 Edition

Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

So today started out rainy. Very rainy in fact. And the forecast wasn't too encouraging either. For here at home or at the shore. So Kim and I thought it over and since we were heading home early tomorrow anyway and there was all this rain coming we decided to stay home instead of heading to the camper. And of course the weather dried up. Go figure. But that's okay. We got a lot done at home. I mowed and trimmed both the front and the back yards. And the back, back yard. That's the area beyond our tree line that only Schnitzel usually goes. We also cleaned up our patio and swim spa area. And after all this I even spent some time in the Cafe with my camera and got lots of good stuff. So of course I have to share a couple shots with you for today's view. This first photo should be no surprise. Yes, a squirrel.

Now this second shot is well, scary?
 

That is one angry looking grackle, huh? I don't know why because I just filled the feeders. And there is more where these came from. But those are for another post.

Oh what a blustery day. Temperatures have gone down and the wind has kicked up and it suddenly doesn't feel like Spring. I wanted to go out and photograph some more of our Spring blooms but decided to wait for some calmer weather. I did however take a few snapshots of our hosta. Going into it's second full year it seems to be doing well and should be viable enough for me to transplant part of it somewhere else in the yard. Welcome To The Exploration Photography Daily View

Today was another warm one and things are really starting to grow. Especially our lawn. So after work I pulled the mower out and neatened it up a bit. And as I looked around the back yard I saw something new. We seem to have sporadic patches of wildflowers popping up. Here's a sampling. 

But what I really want to share is our weeping willow. She's at full bloom and is just beautiful. The flowers only last a short time but it's leaves are starting to fill in already. As some of you may know this tree was one of the reasons I wanted to buy this house. And I'm so glad we did.
