Well it's yet another rainy weekend day but I was able to make the most of it and grab some shots at the Cafe. We had a lot of Bluejays looking for peanuts and for today's view I would like to share a few of them with you.

The day started out chilly but very clear today and since I was up anyway I figured I'd drive over to the park and grab some shots of the early morning sky. I didn't shoot as much as I usually do but I think I came away with some really good pictures. And of course I am sharing a few of them for today's view. The first two are of course the sun as it came up over the distant horizon. The third I like to consider a self portrait. That's me in shadow form as I shoot the moon between two small trees.

It's Friday Schnitzel picture day and I have a pretty good one, I think. He was waiting for me to take him on his afternoon walk so he could get some good sniffing in and was more than happy to pose for me. I find it best to get his picture when he wants to go for a walk.

Today has been a very rainy one but I hope today's view helps brighten it up a bit. These two shots are from Sunday when the sun was shining nice and bright. Here we see a sunrise and a sunset. I would have caught a spectacular sunset if I had been a few minutes earlier but I am sharing the best I could get. Hopefully next time I'll time it a little better.

Today's view is one of our regulars at the Cafe. This woodpecker comes around like clockwork to grab a meal every day. And he sure loves peanuts. I saw him hide them in one of the dogwood trees. His nest must be somewhere nearby.
