Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Today we continue with A Longwood Christmas with yet another shot I made on Saturday evening. This one is kind of dual purpose. It is on one hand a Christmas ornament and at the same time a selfie.
Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 29, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Well the holiday weekend is about over and it's back to work tomorrow. But the holiday season is just beginning. So for today's photo I am sharing another shot from A Longwood Christmas. This time we see an indoor view.
Shot at The Conservatory this is just a small taste of Longwood's Christmas exhibit. I highly recommend that if you get the chance you should check it out. It seems to get better every year.
Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 28, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
It may not feel like Winter is around the corner and for that I am thankful but it sure is and that means it is time for A Longwood Christmas. The annual Christmas exhibit at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square Pennsylvania. In fact it started on Thanksgiving day. We usually end up visiting in December but this year we went early and I must say that it was much more enjoyable with the warmer weather. Of course I shot lots of frames and would like to share one with you.
This was shot over the lake across from the Italian Water Garden.
I have a lot more that I will be sharing but I must go for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View And Weekly Roundup - November 27, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Exploration Photography Daily View and Weekly Roundup!
Well it's been quite a Thanksgiving holiday around here folks. Yesterday Kim and I drove to my Sister's house in North Jersey with Kim's Mom and had a wonderful dinner and get together with family and friends. Even the traffic was agreeable allowing us to make some good time in both directions of the 100 Mile trek. Today however was not as fun. After several months of weight loss and the sudden discovery of a rapidly growing tumor our cat Norton had to be let go. It was a situation that keeping him alive would have been for us and not in his best interest. As hard as it is we know we made the best decision. There was almost no hope that his health would improve at all. So since I was not out shooting today I am going back a few days and sharing one more shot from the Cafe last weekend.
And here is the Weekly Roundup in case you missed a day or want a quick way to go back and take another look.

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 25, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Well it's halfway through the week but today felt a lot like Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. So with a lot of places closed tomorrow I decided to run out and grab a few things at the store this evening after work. Wow was it crowded! Traffic was crazy and the supermarket was packed. But I was able to grab a few things and get out of there pretty quickly. On the way home I noticed how bright and full the Moon is tonight and knew that is what I had to share. Yeah I know, another Moon shot but what can I say. I just had to shoot it.
And I must go for now my friends. I still have a few things to do and it's getting late. I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
For a couple of days I have been sharing pictures from the Cafe on Sunday morning. But I did start the day at Valley Forge trying to capture the sunrise. Well as you know that didn't work out due to a very cloudy sky but I did grab some nice shots of the park. Today I would like to share this one with you.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
For today's photo I would like to share another shot from the Cafe. Here we have the smaller but not any less popular seating area.
And here is the video I wrote about in yesterday's post.
The action starts about a minute or so in so feel free to skip ahead. And as always it is best viewed in 1080P and full screen.

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 22, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
I started the day early with every intention to travel over to Valley Forge and capture the days sunrise to share with you but things didn't quite work out that way. Oh I was up on time and even had all my gear cleaned and ready. I made it to the park with about ten minutes to spare. But there is one thing I could not control. The clouds. I knew it was supposed to be "partly" cloudy. That's what the forecast said. But I guess Mother Nature doesn't use Accuweather :) Oh well, I got some really nice shots anyway. And I did eventually see a bit of sunlight. But that will be for another day. Today I am sharing something from the Cafe.
Another 'action" shot. This is just a sampling of the patrons we had today. If you want to see what I am talking about come back tomorrow and I'll show you a video I shot during the peak of business today. But for now I must go.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Well it was inevitable but the weather has turned a bit colder and Mother Nature is reminding us that Winter is indeed on the way. So seeing as I didn't get out to shoot today I am sharing a photo that was taken when this past Summer was approaching. How's that sound?
This is from June 6th in Wildwood Crest when Kim and I were on a dolphin watching tour. See it as symbolic of the sunset of Summer/Autumn. But rest assured there will be a new beginning in just a few months. Okay maybe a bit longer but before you know it it'll be here :)

Exploration Photography Daily View And Weekly Roundup - November 20, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View and Weekly Roundup!
Well the rain is gone, the skies are clear and the Moon is shining bright. The trade off of course is some cooler weather but it is to be expected in November. So for today's photo I would like to share my view of the Moon.
And it is that time of the week again. Time for the Weekly Roundup! So if you missed a day or just want a quick way to go back and have a second look just check out the links below.

Hi and welcome to a rainy Daily view!
Well it's rainy outside but today's photo isn't :) I do however need to be quick here today because we are running out for a bit. So let's get right to it shall we?
Today I am sharing a second photo of the bird from Sunday's post. Check it out.
Same bird, different view! I still don't know what it is though.

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 18, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Well we've made it halfway through the work week and before you know it the weekend will be upon us. And can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? Not to mention Christmas is quickly approaching. With all of this going on it's great to have the time to just go out (or stay in) to relax and do whatever it takes to escape the stress of the holiday season. You've probably figured out by now that I enjoy shooting the odd photo or two :) It's what relaxes me. There is a saying that the most important person to shoot for (photograph) is yourself. If you like it it is good. And there is a lot of truth in that. But for me sharing is also very important. It means a lot to me that there are others who enjoy what I shoot. And I truly appreciate that you take a little bit of time out of your day to stop by. Thank you!
For today's photo I am switching back to Saturday's trip to the Philadelphia Zoo. And one of my favorite attractions. The Giraffes! I don't know what it is but I just love watching them.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
To start off the new work week I would like to shift away from our zoo trip on Saturday and share this shot from the Cafe this morning.
I haven't seen this guy around for a while but he showed up this morning. Came right up to me looking for his peanut. I am very close to hand feeding him so I hope he sticks around.

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 15, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
During our trip to the Philadelphia Zoo yesterday Kim and I visited someplace that for whatever reason we had never been to before. The McNeil Avian Center. Now I have been to many aviaries in many zoos throughout the years and McNeil may not be the biggest but that doesn't make it any less cool. There are many different breeds of birds and I was able to get up close to a lot of them. And up close means some nice photos. Of course this leads us up to today's offering.
I am sorry that I do not know what kind of bird this is so if anyone does please let me know. He/She was very tame though and not afraid of me or my camera at all. I guess it's from being around people so much.
Thanks for stopping by my friends!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 14, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Considering it is the middle of November we had some pretty nice weather today. It was a little breezy but it sure could have been worse. So Kim and I were able to take advantage of this and enjoy a stroll through the Philadelphia Zoo. The way we figured it would not be too crowded but still warm enough to walk around outside. And that is how it was.
The Philadelphia Zoo has recently added what they call "Zoo360 Animal Exploration Trails". It is a set of trails that some of the animals can use to roam throughout the grounds offering them a lot more freedom and the guests some nice new views. And that is the subject of today's photo.
One of the zoo's resident tigers taking a break to check out some of the visitors.
Thanks for stopping by my friends! And do make sure to come back real soon because I have some cool stuff to share with you.

Exploration Photography Daily View And Weekly Roundup - November 13, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Friday edition of the Daily View and Weekly Roundup!
To start today's post and to wrap up last Sunday's photo shoot at Valley Forge I would like to share one last "sunshine" shot with you. Well the last one from this batch anyway. Oh and I would like to note that Saturday's shot is from a few days earlier.
It was a great day and the scenery was very friendly to me. When I started out Sunday morning I had to scramble to find a good spot to shoot the sunrise because my regular spot was still closed off from the night before. But in the end it turned out very well and I found some new "favorite" places. It has even inspired me to seek out more places that I have been to but have not stopped to really check out.
And now for the Weekly Roundup. There is a link below each thumbnail that takes you to that days post so click away!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 12, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
As we near the end of the week my friends I am also nearing the end of my "Sun" photos from my trip to Valley Forge last Sunday morning. Today's shot was taken in an area of the park that I have driven by hundreds of times...
...but have never stopped to look around before. As I mentioned in an earlier post I am trying to explore different places and walk trails I have never walked before. Sometimes even get off the beaten path. And rest assured I'll be sharing whatever cool stuff I find. Oh, and I have never seen that cabin before.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Today is Veteran's Day here in the United States. A day we mark to honor those who have sacrificed a part of their life to serve and protect in our Armed Forces. And the many who have given their lives to preserve America and our way of life. So I would like to personally say Thank You with today's photo.
It is a little difficult to read the plaque so here is what it says.
"In Memory Of Unknown Soldiers Buried At Valley Forge. 1777 - 1778. Erected By Valley Forge Chapter Daughters Of Ther American Revolution."
Though there was never a shot fired at Valley Forge in battle over 2,500 men perished due to malnutrition, disease and extreme cold. But out of all of this came America's first professional Army who fought for the very same freedom we enjoy today.
Thanks to all who have served!

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
As you may have guessed already I am keeping a theme this week and the theme is obviously the Sun. So to continue I would like to share this with you.
The area beyond the wooden fence is closed to the public. I think it is probably due to some graves in one section. I have not been able to read the markers but I know that they are very old. Of course the off-limits does not apply to wildlife. There are tons of squirrels in there.
Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 9, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Today I am continuing to share some of yesterday's photo shoot at Valley Forge. I am also continuing with the theme of "The Sun". Looking through many of the frames I shot I found the Sun to be the one common denominator. It is literally the focal point of three quarters of all three hundred plus frames. Just one of those mornings I guess. But I suppose the Sun is really the star (no pun intended) of all photography. After all photography is all about light.
So for today's Daily View I would like to share this shot that I made about five minutes after sunrise.
Can you see why I love it there so much?
Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 8, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
It's been another busy weekend around here but some of that busy was getting out early this morning and driving to Valley Forge to greet the Sun. Though today's meeting was a bit different. Now I am not quite sure but I have always assumed that the gates at Valley Forge are supposed to be open at dawn. And they always have been when I have been there that early. Today the main gate was closed. Naturally I was not going to give up and I quickly came up with a backup plan. With only eight minutes 'til sunrise I had to find a safe place to park that had a good view. Luckily I did and I could not have been more pleased. And I even had a few extra minutes because of the tree line. Check it out.
I was even able to set up and record some video as the Sun came up. It's about ten minutes long so if you are in a hurry just bump it along toward the end. And as usual it is best viewed at full screen in 1080P.
And I must go for now my friends. I have a lot of frames to sift through and post process. I'll be sharing the results over the next few days. I hope to see you again here at the blog.

Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Today I would like to share a photo I made in Valley Forge yesterday afternoon. This has become one of my favorite places in the park to shoot. So much opportunity.
Some nice Fall colors on what was a very Spring-like day.
Thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View And Weekly Roundup - November 6, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View and Weekly Roundup!
Starting this week I am including a weekly Roundup with my Friday post. Basically it's just links to the previous six days posts in case you missed or want a quick access to one of them. But before we get to that how about today's photo?
What a day we had today! It's November 6 and we are well into Autumn but you sure wouldn't know it by the weather. The temperatures topped out around 80° F (27° C) and there was a nice calm breeze. And best of all I was off from work and got to spend part of my day at Valley Forge.
I set out today to of course record some of this beautiful day with my camera but I was also doing a little experimenting with some new techniques I have been reading about. The experiment went okay I guess but still needs work. But that's the fun part! So when I get closer to where I want to be I'll share it but for now check this out.
It looks like Autumn but like I said it sure doesn't feel like it.
And now for your Weekly Roundup. Below you will find a thumbnail with a link to that day's post below. Let's give this a shot and see where it goes!

And there you have it my friends. I hope you enjoy today's photo and of course the newly introduced Weekly Roundup. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to let me know in the comments section. As always thanks for stopping by!

Exploration Photography Daily View - November 5, 2015
Hi and welcome to the Daily View!
Today I am sharing one last photo from Sunday's Cafe shoot. Well it wasn't exactly in the cafe but it was nearby. Check out this little guy taking a short rest upon one of the cable TV covers on our street.
Thanks for stopping by!
